A WORD LADDER VARIATION

Feetle Word Game: A Guide to the Word Ladder

Looking for the word-ladder style of Feetle? This guide explains the one-letter rule and a fixed-target example. You can practice the same kind of wordplay in our own word ladder game.

Word Ladder Daily is an independent website. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Feetle’s operators, and we do not provide official Feetle answers. Our daily puzzle and archive belong only to this site.

The one-letter rule, with FEET as the goal.

Our earlier Feetle-style game used FEET as a fixed destination. Starting from another four-letter word, you replaced exactly one letter per move and made an accepted word at every step. Letter order stayed the same; adding, removing, or rearranging letters was not allowed.

HEAT → FEAT → FEET takes two moves: replace H with F, then A with E. This is a rules example, not today’s answer for an external Feetle game.

What has changed on this site?

Our main game now explores word ladders with varied starting words and targets. The home page has unlimited practice; the Daily page has one shared challenge per UTC date. The one-letter rule remains the same, but the goal is no longer always FEET.

Need help with a particular pair of words?

Enter the start and target in our word ladder solver to look for a shortest route. It uses our own curated four-letter dictionary, so a suggested word may not be accepted by another game. For an official daily Feetle answer, consult the game you are playing.
